Description

Over the years I have purchased some outstanding horses privately to syndicate. Included are the high-class gallopers Holding, Unchain My Heart, Too Many Reds, Believe ‘n Achieve, Pitt Street and more recently our highly promising three year olds Invincible Al and Isthmian.


In all cases this strategy has allowed us to keep the entry price down for clients wanting to get involved in racing. The horses listed above have given their owners terrific satisfaction and enjoyment.


This filly represents terrific value. Let’s investigate her pedigree.


The filly


I purchased Sweet Talkin Woman from the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale and she went on to win six races and $200,604.


At the conclusion of her racing career she was purchased as a breeding proposition by Ben Weeding, a client of Prime Thoroughbreds and this filly by Not A Single Doubt is her first foal. I have purchased this filly from Ben.


I have watched the filly develop from the time she was born and she has continued to improve as she has gone along. She is very correct and has a nice hindquarter. Like many of the fillies by Not A Single Doubt she isn’t going to be a big horse. I don’t see this as a disadvantage.


Not A Single Doubt


Not A Single Doubt was a fast precocious two year old winning three races. He is by the Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice out of Singles Bar by Champion Broodmare Sire Rory’s Jester.


It isn’t hard to see why he was such a quick horse and with such a superb speed pedigree he has passed this on to many of his progeny.


He has been represented by some outstanding fillies including the Blue Diamond winner Miracles Of Life, Don’t Doubt Mamma, Villa Verde and Single Gaze. In all he has sired 35 stakes winners.


When Not A Single Doubt is crossed with More Than Ready mares the results are very good with Miracles Of Life and The Grey Flash being products of this cross.


Not A Single Doubt currently sits in 3rd position on the National Sires List.



Sweet Talkin Woman


Sweet Talkin Woman is by Champion Sire More Than Ready who currently sits in 11th place on the National Broodmare List. More Than Ready has had a huge impact on Australian racing with his progeny including two Golden Slipper winners in Sebring and Phelan Ready. He has gone on from this to now be regarded as one of the best broodmare sires in Australia.


Sweet Talkin Woman was a good race mare and hails from an outstanding female line that includes the ATC Derby winner Tavago as well as a host of well performed black type horses. Sweet Talkin Woman’s half-sister Weregoingtogetcha was a Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed.


This is Sweet Talkin Woman’s first foal and I’m thrilled to offer her to the market with her to wear our colours through her racing career.
