She’s a great style of filly that really caught our eye during the rigorous selection process. She is a smart filly who seems to have all, the mental and physical attributes to be a 2yo runner. Our Maurice filly looks like an early sprinting type who can push out to the mile as she develops.


She has an exceptional overstep that covers the ground well is exactly what you want to see in a Classic type of filly. Gerald and Sterling love this style of filly and are very excited to get her to Rosehill stables.


Our Maurice filly is E Nicks rated A+++, 20/20 G1 Goldmine rated AND bred on the Maurice-Redoutes Choice Cross that has produced 20% stakes winners to runners. A filly with 28 individual Group winners bred on the same breeding patterns including HITOTSU (3 x Gr 1’s) and MAZU (1 x Gr 1’s)

MAURICE, Horse of the Year, Champion Sprinter & Champion Miler in Japan in 2015. He won an astonishing 6 Group 1’s in his career from 1400-2000m and has stamped his stock with the same qualiy. Highlighted by Triple Australian Classic winner HITOTSU (3x Group 1’s) and Group 1 winning sprinter MAZU.


His 2023 service of $82,500 is set to increase dramatically as he keeps producing stakes class horses from his small crop. He averaged over $215,000 at the 2024 Gold Coast Magic Millions Book 1, more than 2.5 times his service fee.

MAGIC TOUCH by REDOUTE’S CHOICE is the unknown factor, which is exciting. She is unraced and unfortunately had a stable accident. All indications are she will make a top Broodmare being closely related to an incredibly strong family and already produced stakes class horses.

Princess Tenko, 4 wins including 2 of these wins in town.


Magic Shot, 4 starts, 1 win and 2 placings. He’s in our stable and has shown great promise and looks to improve on his record.


Magic Touch is by Champion sire and Champion Broodmare sire REDOUTE’S CHOICE amassing over $230 million in earnings. His stats are not short of amazing with more than 130 individual stakes winners.


Trainer: GERALD RYAN


Gerald Ryan was a former top jockey and has vast experience as a trainer preparing feature race winners throughout the country including the Group 1 winners such as Clangalang, Snitzel, Hurricane Sky, Arctic Scent, Peggy Jean and Melito, just to name a few. His current success comes with the likes of Hot Snitzel, Flying Snitzel, Snitzerland, Rubick and Trapeze Artist.


Gerald has won some of the best Group 1 races on the racing calendar such as: Blue Diamond Stakes (twice), Caulfield Cup, AJC Derby, Epsom Handicap, Oakleigh Plate, TJ Smith, Queensland Oaks (twice), the C F Orr Stakes and more recently the TJ Smith Stakes.


Gerald Ryan has 60 state of the art stables on course at Rosehill Gardens. Rosehill Gardens has the state-of-the-art facilities to train, including two ten horse walkers, 50 metre swimming pool and 5 training tracks to choose from plus special access to the course proper once a week. One of Gerald’s most recent successes is with Trapeze Artist winning the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes.
