This filly has had a jump out and several serious hit outs. She is not far from racing. For those interested we have updated video that can be viewed on request.
Please be aware that this horse will be trained in Queensland but will not be restricted to racing there. Should she be of a suitable class she will race in other Metropolitan tracks in NSW & Victoria
The filly is sired by the prolific sire - Hussonet, an impressive winner at "Black type†level at two and as a 3yr old. Hussonet is the sire of more Gr1-winners (28) than any other active stallion in Australia including 2007-08 Australian Horse-Of-The-Year Weekend Hussler & Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Reaan. He has produced 75 individual stakes-winners . This season's yearlings & foals include offspring from star racemares Miss Finland, Alinghi, Tycoon Lil & Lotteria, plus the dams of sires Redoute's Choice, Not A Single Doubt & Reaan, Given the books of mares he has covered in recent seasons, there is substantial upside for owners of his progeny. Last season Hussonet produced 102 winners (1 of only 10 stallions to break the 100-winner mark) including 7 stakes-winners & 7 2YO-winners. This season's stars include Gr1 Oakleigh Plate winner Eagle Falls, plus Gr1 Caulfield Guineas runner-up Run For Levi & Gr1 Thousand Guineas runner-up Heartsareforlove. This year he has sired stakes winners : Angel of Mercy, At the Heads, Colorado Claire, Rose of Peace Werd. The filly is out of the producing Mare - Barsha by the prolific sire/ brood mare sire Redoutes Choice. She is a half Sister to the impressive racing filly Georgette Silk. She has produced Four Foals ,Three to Race all winning. They include Swerte Bellla and FOB Dubai good two year old types in their first seasons and likely to reapper at Metropolitan and Listed Level. She is from the family of racehorse and sire Charge Forward and Sydneys Dream. We believe this family and cross will produce a progressive racehorse able to compete at the top level.
The horse is to be trained by Tony Gollan. Tony Gollan and his Father Darryl train from facilities at Toowooma and Eagle Farm (Brisbane) in Queensland. Tony revived his training business in 2003 after flirting with the business as a younger man and has gone from strength to strength.
A stroke of good fortune gave his return some early momentum. Eureka Stud father-son combination Colin and Scott McAlpine gave him a Special Dane filly which they named Temple Spirit. The filly was a great success on the track, wining eight races. The association with Temple Spirit has continued with Gollan Racing enjoying tremendous success with of the mare’s foal Spirit Of Boom and Temple Of Boom. The latter lifted Tony’s profile on to the big stage when he won a Listed Race at Flemington on Oaks day in 2010 and recently won the Group One ATC Galaxy . It has whet his appetite for the major carnivals. “It was an incredible buzz just to have a runner at Flemington in Cup week. It’s addictive. I want to get myself to a stage when I can travel to those big carnivals regularly,’’ he said.
The horse is nominated for the Inglis Bonus series.
She has been broken in and is in full work with Malua Racing and will shortly go to Tony Gollan's Facilities in Queensland.
Whilst trained in Queensland every opportunity relative to her ability will be considered.
