Description

Grand Syndicates are a young, progressive team who do away with big mark-ups and put affordability first. It’s been a successful formula so far, with the proof in the continued success of our runners.

After a hugely successful 2015 that saw their small team scoring a winner every 8 starters, Grand Syndicates have raised the bar again, currently with 10 winners in 2016 at a winner every 6 starters- and all off an average yearling price of $12,000. That’s an incredible record that stacks up anywhere

So when you’re choosing a yearling to add to your team, remember…Value + Success = Grand Syndicates.

At the recent Magic Million’s National Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast, Grand Syndicates purchased a terrific looking filly, one of the last progeny of the super stallion HIGH CHAPARRAL to ever pass through a yearling sales ring. She’s an exciting ¾ sister in blood to the champion 3yo MONACO CONSUL, and will be without a doubt, the best bred filly to ever race in our black and gold silks.

Our filly is the first foal out of the former $225,000 yearling purchase Bathilda. Bathilda is a half sister to 6 winners including the Group 3 stakes placed So Devine and most importantly the aforementioned dual G1 winner and now successful stallion MONACO CONSUL (also by High Chaparral) who won the Victorian Derby and the AJC Spring Champion Stakes-both run at the elite level, while being placed a further 3 times in G1 company in the Caulfield Cup, the Australian Derby and the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

The filly’s second dam Arganti is very well related too. She’s a half-sister to 5 winners including the Singapore G1 winner CON AIR plus dual G1 winner and successful stallion MILITARY PLUME. One of the best three year olds of his year, Military Plume was the winner of the G1 Australian Guineas and the G1 Rothwells Stakes in addition to being placed a further 6 times in G1 company before moving into a successful career as a stallion.

Another big tick to this filly and her burgeoning G1 stayer-producing dam-line, is the fact that we know her immediate generation produces winners too with Bathilda’s half-sister already producing Royale Elegance- so far a 3-time winner up to a mile in Hong Kong.

All of the above is impressive enough, but we haven’t even mentioned the stallion yet! HIGH CHAPARRAL was a champion racehorse in every sense of the word. A winner of an impressive 10 races from just 13 starts before being retired as an extremely valuable stallion prospect, he was a winner of the Racing Post Trophy which made the highest rated two year old of his year, he defeated HAWK WING in The English Derby-the best stallion making race in the World, and he also won the prestigious Irish Champion Stakes and the Breeders Cup on Turf in the USA. At stud, he’s produced G1 winners such as 10-time G1 winner and dual Cox Plate winner SO YOU THINK, IT'S A DUNDEEL, FENWAY, SHOOT OUT, PONDEROSA MISS, CONTRIBUTOR, MONACO CONSUL, DESCARADO & TORONADO to name a few and is now responsible for an incredible 79 stakes-winners from his 789 winners! That's an absolute top bracket record from the now deceased young stallion. He was a top-liner on the track, and his progeny just keep producing. His sons are already making exciting stallions and his daughter’s are set to be the next generation of great broodmares passing on his legacy into future generations.

To be trained by Grand Syndicates newest trainer Dean Krongold at Kyneton and offered at an incredible $2,200 per 5% share and $6.60 a day, this filly is not only one of the absolute final opportunities you’ll ever have to race the progeny of champion High Chaparral, but almost certainly the final opportunity to race one with a high class G1 pedigree, yet minus the G1 price-tag. Just as she’s got the best filly’s pedigree that we’ve ever offered, we’re certain that she’ll have the popularity to match.
