Description

Introducing Grand Syndicates’ strong new VOBIS colt, from the first crop of boom Victorian stallion FIGHTING SUN!

Undefeated as a 2yo, FIGHTING SUN is the exceptionally bred son of the outstanding but ill-fated stallion NORTHERN METEOR & G1 winner IRISH DARLING. On the racetrack, he burst onto the 2yo scene winning impressively at Rosehill on debut for Gai Waterhouse before demolishing his rivals in the Canonbury Stakes, a win which saw him installed red-hot favourite for the Golden Slipper. Unfortunately, that would be the last we would see of the FIGHTING SUN on the racetrack, as a suspensory injury saw him retired before he could win his Slipper. Now at stud, his progeny have been incredibly popular throughout the 2017 sales season, selling up to $150,000 and seeing him being lauded as one of the most exciting first season sires in Australia!

Our colt is from an excellent international female family too, being the 2nd foal from the winning mare Bravoure, a daughter of the 2003 World Champion Racehorse and Japanese shuttle stallion FALBRAV, now a proven broodmare sire, producing the Champion 3yo Japanese filly HARP STAR, a winner of the G1 Japanese 1000 Guineas. Bravoure herself is the half sister to the multiple stakes-winners EIGHT STREET and OTTIMO while our colt’s second dam is a half sister to the outstanding Japanese mare MEISHO BELUGA, a dual G2 winner who was also G1-placed when 2nd to the champion SNOW FAIRY in the G1 Kyoto Queen Elizabeth Cup.

To be trained by Dean Krongold at Kyneton, this colt is also paid up and eligible for Victoria’s lucrative Super VOBIS bonus scheme which includes over $20 million dollars of extra Victorian prizemoney on offer exclusively to paid up Vic-bred horses. The opportunity is a must for Victorian bred & trained gallopers, just look at current Grand Syndicates runners, Khutulun, Gilchrist and Tykiato, who alone have won over $85,000 just in Super VOBIS bonus prizemoney so far!

With 5% shares priced at only $1,100 a share and Grand’s no-stress fixed fees of $6.60 a day to cover all costs, this colt simply is incredible value in the current yearling price climate. Don’t miss the opportunity to add him to your stable!
