HER SIRE


Commencing with his debut performance at the age of three, DEEP FIELD won five races straight culminating in the Group 2 TAB.com.au Stakes at Flemington. At his next race start he placed third in a strong edition of the Group 1 VRC Lightning Stakes behind Lankan Rupee and Brazen Beau.


Retiring to stud duties at Newgate Farm, Deep Field is considered one of the fastest horses to enter stud in recent memory. His pedigree boosts his claims, being by NORTHERN METEOR out of LISTEN HERE, making him a full brother to Group 1 Caulfield Guineas winner SHOOTING TO WIN.


As at mid October, 33 of his progeny have won including Group winners COSMIC FORCE and DIG DEEP. He completed his first season entrenched in the top 4 First Season Sires by winners, wins, earnings and stakes-winners. His first crop are now three and are continuing the trend with 17 of them winning so far (1-Aug to 14-Oct).

In a shortened career of just five starts, GOONIWIGGAL won one race and placed on three occasions.


Her first three race starts were in the competitive 2yo environment of Melbourne, placing at Moonee Valley twice and then running a commendable sixth in the LISTED Blue Diamond Prelude at Caulfield behind Group 1 winners ROSTOVA and IRISH LIGHTS.


By great racing colt and acclaimed sire ROCK OF GIBRALTAR (IRE) (by Danehill), Gooniwiggal was retired. Her first three runners are by ONEMORENOMORE, WONDERFUL WORLD and HARBOUR WATCH. All three are winners including the stakes-placed Singapore galloper GENIUS.
