Group One winner Rising Romance has been selected to compete in the QEII Cup in Hong Kong.

Trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, Rising Romance is the only Australian-trained runner among the 14 horses selected for the 2000m-Group One race at Sha Tin on April 24.

Hayes travelled Criterion to Hong Kong for the QEII Cup a year ago with the multiple Group One winner finishing third behind Blazing Speed who will defend his title.

Rising Romance won the 2014 ATC Oaks when trained by New Zealander Donna Logan and also finished second in that year's Caulfield Cup.

The mare is yet to win since joining the Hayes and Dabernig team but has been placed in three Group One race in the past year including a recent third in the Australian Cup.

Rising Romance is expected to run against Criterion in the $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes in Sydney on Saturday week before her overseas mission.
