The unstoppable force that is Gai Waterhouse has continued in two states with Najoom beating a classy field in the Hawkesbury Guineas at Rosehill not long after Pornichet claimed the Doomben Cup.

The Guineas (1400m) was one of two races transferred to Rosehill on Saturday, a week after the provincial meeting was washed out.

The filly was also entered in the other rescheduled race, the Darley Crown (1300m) against older mares but Waterhouse opted for the Guineas against colts and geldings in her age group.

Najoom and Godolphin's Federal were the only two punters wanted, with the filly starting the $2.80 favourite after the money came late.

Her supporters had no worries with Tim Clark taking her to the front out of the gates.

Federal ($3) gave chase late but was still 3-3/4 lengths away at the post with Bachman ($21) an encouraging third.

Waterhouse's racing manager Adrian Bott said the tough filly could back up in next week's Scone Guineas.

"Gai will assess how she is during the week but there is the option to back up at Scone," Bott said.

"She is a much-improved filly and the decision to run in the Guineas has paid off.

The win brought up a treble and a feature double for Clark who earlier claimed the Darley Crown on the Gerald Ryan-trained Solicit and a 1900m handicap on High Midnight for Bart and James Cummings.

"It's been a good day," Clark said.

"I was fortunate enough to pick up the rides.

"It's been an up and down day. I came to the races with a full book of rides and to go home with the two features and a treble has been very pleasing.

"Obviously Bonete was the one that got away."

The Joe Pride-trained Bonete, a close relation to Group One winner Terravista, finished a close third as favourite in an 1100m benchmark race.

Jason Collett also made the most of the absence of many of Sydney's leading riders who were at the feature Doomben meeting, to rack up a treble of his own with Brenton Avdulla claiming a double including the Listed Lord Mayors Cup on Silverball.
