Stud Comments
Zizou, the highest-rated juvenile of the 2006-2007 season was a $450,000 yearling purchase by Demi O’Byrne for a Coolmore syndicate.He was a brilliant stakeswinning early two year-old who went on to be runner up in Australia's best two juvenile events, the Group 1 Blue Diamond and Group 1 Golden Slipper.
Zizou comes from a stallion making family which include successful sires Snippets and Not A Single Doubt. This is also the family of the filly that beat him in the Golden Slipper Forensics, as well as Group 1 Winning mare Rewaaya.
Zizou's yearlings went through the ring in 2011 and were extremely popular. They averaged over $44,000 with the top lot purchased by Australia leading trainer Peter Moody for $140,000.
Zizou has been well supported by breeders covering in excess of 220 mares in his first few seasons. He has covered some outstanding mares including the likes of G1 winners Sky Cuddle & Irish Lights.
The racetrack debut of his eldest progeny is eagerly awaited this season as they're set to display the same precocity their father had.
