Stud Comments
Killy was a 2.5 million dollar purchase at the 2008 Easter Yearling Sales and comes from one of the best families in the stud book. By the champion sire Redoute's Choice, he is a half brother to 5 stakes performers including the outstanding stallions Snowland and Snippetson!!Redoute's Choice is having a major impact on the Australian Breeding Scene with his sons at stud. STRATUM was the Champion First Season Sire for the 2010 Season & Sired the Golden Slipper Winner Crystal Lily in his first crop. Snitzel also did very well in his first season finishing second with his top class filly Chance Bye leading the way.
This is a stallions pedigree, with his half brother Snowland already producing the producing the Group 1 winning mare Absolute Glam (QLD Winter Stakes). His other Brother at stud Snippetson has produced over 32 Winners this season including the Group 2 Winner Fast Clip.
Freeze, another brother to Killy has started his stud career well by producing the Group 3 Winner Arctic Command.
Unfortunately Killy never got to see the racetrack as illness struck him at a young age. With this outstanding pedigree and and his brothers all excelling at stud, there is no reason why this son of Redoute's Choice wont be joining the likes of Stratum and Snitzel in the years to come.
