A Champion 2YO and 3YO and Gr.1 winner in Chile, Host proved his stud worth by winning the Gr.1 Shadwell Mile on Turf at Keeneland in the USA. A horse of great durability Host won nine stakes races in his career and placed or ran fourth in nine races at that level.By Champion sire Hussonet out of a listed winning Roy mare, Hosts family has consistently produced stakes quality horses. The Hussonet bloodline looking likely to play a big part in the future of the Australian thoroughbred with many of his sons at stud looking to further his legacy.
Host has already shown a great ability to throw his athletic features into his progeny with his yearlings selling up to $160,000 (to Bart Cummings yard) in their first appearance at the sales.
