Description:
General Hap is a progressive colt by one of the leading sources of speed in Australia in recent times. Buyers are in the rare position of being able to race this colt having seen his ability exposed at a public trial.
At his first trial on the 28/11 General Hap jumped quickly and led them all into the straight . He was only head close to the post after running a little greenly in the straight.
By Champion 2YO sire General Nediym was the winner of the arguably the two greatest open age sprint races in Australia, the Gr.1 VRC Lightning and Gr.1 VRC Newmarket as well as the $1m Magic Millions Classic for 2YOs. Before his untimely demise he continually imparted his raw speed into his progeny as evidenced by elite sprinters Regimental Girl, Military Rose, Sidereus, Ra Sun and current top line performer Anise.
General Hap is a member of a very impressive female family. From the 2YO winning, Gr.3 placed, Marscay line mare, Sky Tripper, General Hap is a half to city winning sprinter Moss Flyer. His grandam Joy Tripper was a stakes winner who produced Sky Tripper and five other winners. Further back in his pedigree the page is full of international black type.
A muscular forward type with plenty of power behind the saddle his physical type matches his breeding. He stands very correct with strong bone beneath him. He is very masculine and mature with a confident walk about him.
Trained by Robbie Griffiths, a consistent holder of a position within the top ten on the premiership table and the leading Super VOBIS trainer in the country, General Hap is showing plenty in his early introduction to training. As an Inglis graduate he is eligible for the $2.6m Inglis Bonus race series.
Racing in partnership with great people this colt looks to be a perfect opportunity for those looking to have a lot of fun on and off the track.
