A winner at 1500m, Killybegs is out of a three quarter sister to MAHOGANY - Champion 2YO colt, Champion 3YO & Champion Older Sprinter in Australasia. With a total of 19 wins-4 at 2- from 1000 to 2500m, he scooped a stunning 8 Group One events and $3,643,300!


A daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar (Ire), Killybegs herself has two named foals, the first now a 5yo with two wins against her name, a 4yo, Vitesse Express, who is multiple city placed - plus a very nice 2 year old.

Her 2013 HARD SPUN colt (see photo) is a looker and is being retained.


Rock Of Gibraltar is a relatively young broodmare sire, however he is already the damsire of Gr.3 winning 2yo colt RUBICK and in Japan, Gr.3 winning 2yo colt MIKKI ISLE. A further 12 stakes performers call Rock Of Gibraltar their damsire.


Killybegs' dam Tremone Bay, a full sister to SW TOUCH OF MAHOGANY, is the dam of six winners of 17 races to-date. She has a 4yo by Fastnet Rock (multiple placed) and 3 yo by Encosta De Lago named Inishowen (A. Freedman) who broke her maiden at her 5th start (having placed at all starts previous). Inishowen has since been thereabouts in several city races. Tremone Bay also has a 2yo by Henrythenavigator still coming through to help progress the family.


Killybegs has just produced a lovely filly (dob 20 Oct 14) to DOMESDAY, a Group 1 producing stallion. The farm reported that the filly was "very big and a lovely type." The attached photos are her at one week old. She is still settling into her legs but the vet has confirmed that she will firm up nicely over the next couple of weeks.


At the 2014 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, Domesday progeny sold to $105,000 and averaged $52,277. Domesday got his seventh stakes winner when filly CAILIN won the Listed Oaklands Plate at Morphettville in May. His 2014 stud fee is $16,500, indicating what a value package this is.


Killybegs will be ready to serve again in a few weeks' time. The owner is very happy to retain the Domesday filly (on the condition the mare stay at Heartford Farm until the foal is weaned) if a buyer wants the mare only for $2000. Prices are firm.
