Joffa Jacinta is a beautifully balanced & strong mare by Inflate, a member of the wonderful THONG family (GOODY TWO SHOES). She is a half sister to 3YO Magic Millions (R Listed Winner), TERESCHENKO who won over $675k in prize money and her Dam, URAGEME was 2nd in the VRC Maribyrnong Trial S., (Listed Race) and 4th in VATC Blue Diamond Prelude (Group 3).
She descends from an Australian female line that includes Gr1 winning Zappari (14 wins), Gr3 winner Cahuita.
She is an excellent producer who has gone very easily into foal and produces great types. Her progeny record may look a little deceiving. She has only been bred with two true commercial stallions, Stratum and Myboycharlie.
Her first foal, a Stratum filly (Hallo Africa) was purchased by an astute judge, and was exported to South Africa where she won over 1000m at her first start. She has produced the stakes performed “Just Africa” (Just As Well) and her second foal “Hallo Mr” (Muhtafal) is also showing promise, already winning at just his third start.
Below are articles on “Just Africa”:
More recently she has produced a Myboycharlie Colt who is about to go into training and a lovely Myboycharlie Filly (just turned 2 and about to be broken) so you have two good prospects to come for you. Both are strong, correct types and have been kept by the breeder to race.
With regards to the last two matings, Myboycharlie is strongly line bred to GOODY TWO SHOES, via her descendants Thatching, Thatch and Lt. Stevens in his pedigree. This influential family is represented by Inflate in Joffa Jacinta. Inflate’s third dam is actually a half sister to Thatch in Myboycharlie. Further back, there are several important ancestors which are duplicated and which form clusters of common ancestors. For instance, Without Fear (sire of Proven Valour in Joffa Jacinta) is very similarly bred to Myboycharlie’s third dam, Icing. Both are bred on Princequillo / Never Say Die / Alycidon crosses
This is the same breeding as Jameka!
Other significant duplications include Bold Ruler, Raise A Native, Roman, Ribot and Nashua.
There are several other important families in the pedigree of Joffa Jacinta that can be significantly reinforced to maximise the genetic opportunity for inheriting racing ability and associated desirable characteristics in a proposed foal.
If you are looking for a mating for her this year, the following several stallions could be excellent choices:
Bowness Stud's Myboycharlie - $8,800
For reasons above. It’s also worth pointing out that a significant percentage of Myboycharlie’s best runners have all possessed a line bred or sex balanced duplication of the broodmare "Thatch" or "Special"(Full Sisters).
Arrowfield Stud’s 2nd Season Sire - “Panzer Division” $9,900:
Redoute’s Choice himself has crossed extremely well from a very limited opportunity with mares by sons of Forty Niner with 3 stakes horses - the Group 2 winner Galah and Group 3 winner She’s Clean and the Group-placed Thin Red Line – produced from just 8 foals to race.
The mating also features a sex-balanced duplication of Champion USA 3YO Colt Tom Rolfe which is supported by the damline of Hussonet which hails from the same tail-female ancestry.
The mating also combines the intricate genetic relatives Hussonet and Inflate who share the same individuals – Mr. Prospector and Bold Ruler – in their immediate ancestry.
These are all highly positive factors which point towards a high likelihood of producing a good outcome.
Darley Stud’s Sidestep - $11,000:
The Mr Prospector cross with Exceed and Excel is very good including the likes of Guelph, Calliope and Ottoman. It has a strike rate of 11.65% stakes winners to runners in the last 5 years. Even better in terms of percentages is the more direct cross with Exceed and Excel and Forty Niner, which at this stage despite being a cross that hasn’t had a lot of runners (16) it does have a 64% winning strike rate and of those 16 runners 2 are stakes winners and two stakes placed- so it bodes well for that cross.
Joffa Jacinta is offered under a FREE LEASE arrangement to an approved home only. She is dry, in immaculate condition and ready for an immediate start to the breeding season. She is being offered under lease to downsize the breeder’s operation.
