Finko (Ire) is by a Group One winner out of a Group One winner. A winner in France herself, she is by CAERLEON, a highly successful sire son of Nijinsky II. Her dam is ROSEFINCH, a BLUSHING GROOM mare who is herself a daughter of OH SO SHARP, the Top Filly of the 1985 European 3YO Classification and a triple Group One winner.
Finko is a half sister to SW ROSCIUS (by Sadlers Wells) and to the dam of two stakes performers.
Finko now has 3 to race for 3 winners. Her 3yo Finkican won her maiden in NZ this August and has big wraps on her. Finko has a 2yo Untouchable filly and a yearling Commands colt coming through and is in foal (LDS 26/10) to SNIPPETSON, who was 5th on the First Seasons Sires List by Winners 09/10. Standing at Widden Stud, Snippetson yearlings have sold up to $185,000 with a very healthy average of $26,830 this season. With Finko's pedigree, she surely only has to produce a Snippetson with four good legs to surpass this average.
